Sr. Eileen T. Kelly, SC, who served in The Bahamas from 1978 – 2003, died in New York on May 6, 2024.

From 1978 – 1994 Sr. Eileen taught at St. Augustine’s College.
From 1994 – 2003 she served as administrator of Holy Redeemer Parish on Cat Island.
From 1987 – 1993 she was the Co-Director of the Deacon Formation Program along with Fr. Patrick Holmes.
Sr. Eileen is warmly remembered for her simplicity of life, her enthusiasm for the Faith, her deep respect for the environment and her passion for the marginalized.
Her intellectual gifts were evident in her approach to learning and teaching.
We were graced to have her share a part of her lifetime with us here in the Archdiocese of Nassau.
We now join her community, the Sisters of Charity of New York in commending her to the Lord.
Her funeral is scheduled for Thursday May 9, 2024, with a Prayer Service beginning at 9:30 a.m. and the Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m.
