The Catholic Archdiocesan Annual Appeal for 2025 has begun. Our theme during this Jubilee Year is, “United in Hope of God’s Glory”.
The Catholic Archdiocesan Annual Appeal is the major fundraiser for the Archdiocese. It is the primary source of income which funds all the ministries, all the works and all the various obligations of the Archdiocese in any given year.
These are all explained in the case for the Annual Appeal, which is contained in the 2025 brochure.
We are gathered in worship for the Annual Red Mass invoking the wisdom of the Holy Spirit upon all those who labour in the administration of Justice among us.
Our Liturgical Year is arranged around two great feasts. They are Easter and Christmas. Easter has its well-known Proclamation, which is sung at the Easter Vigil. Christmas too has it own unique, if less well-known, Proclamation which may be sung or recited prior to Midnight Mass. It outlines, beautifully, all the great events in the history of salvation beginning with creation and leading up to the birth of Christ.
